Initial data from the CR-Unit is promising. We're observing unprecedented levels of synaptic activity in the visual cortex when subjects are exposed to specific memetic triggers. The patterns aren't just being processed; they seem to be... reciprocated. The brain is talking back.

The symbol we've designated 'Nidus-Alpha' is by far the most potent. It induces a state that is not quite trance, not quite fixation. It's something new. We're on the verge of a breakthrough in understanding non-linguistic communication.

A note on Subject-07. He reports persistent auditory hallucinations and describes a "terrible beauty" in the Nidus pattern. Yesterday, he drew something on his cell wall. A variation of the symbol. The orderlies disposed of it, but I logged a photograph first.

Looking at the photograph for too long gives me a... headache. A resonance. It's probably just eyestrain. The lighting in the observation chamber is terrible.

An fMRI brain scan showing anomalous, symmetrical activity in the occipital lobe.

Anomalous fMRI from Subject-07 during Nidus exposure. The symmetry is... perfect. Almost unnatural.

The side-effects are propagating across the test group. I've compiled a preliminary list of shared symptoms:

The Ethics Committee is getting nervous. I've had to... rephrase some of the reports. They don't see what I see. This isn't a breakdown; it's a transformation. An evolution in perception.

I find myself doodling it during meetings. It's everywhere, once you know where to look. I've uploaded the secured archive containing all of S-07's data. For research. Only for research. Download Archive [S07_NIDUS_DATA.zip] (Password Required).
